Climate Change

This week, I read what you can do to help prevent climate change, according to experts, which is an article that focuses on climate change.

The main idea of this article is that we need to start helping to prevent climate change the best we can.

 Environmental Protections

One idea that I found interesting was according to Julia Jacobo, the Trump Administration, for instance, has rolled back 85 environmental protections since 2017, including several on drilling and emissions.

I thought it was interesting because that means our government is doing the opposite of what it should be doing to prevent climate change. Also that with our current administration our government is not trying its hardest to prevent climate change.

                                                (Distelrath, Markus)

It made me wonder if there have been more environmental protections that have been rolled back since 2017 to now, so I looked up some more information about this.

On the website the Washington post, I found more information about how many environmental protections the Trump Administration has rolled back.

One piece of information I found was according to Juliet Eilperin, Brady Dennis, and John Muyskens the Trump Administration has rolled back 125 environmental protections including the ones that are pending.

This new information makes me think that as a country we have a lot of work to do. Because we now have 125 environmental protections that need to be reversed again to start helping us slow down climate change. Plus after that, there is much more that needs to be done to help the environment to make sure that my generation and future generations have a clean planet left after all the old white men of the Trump Administration die before anything bad happens. 🌲

  1. Well written, I liked the last paragraph and how you tied in politics to the issue of climate change and how you touched on how trump as undone a lot of work to try and prevent it. Its very true that all of the old politicians come from a time where this was not a concern to anyone and by this point they are set in there ways and don't really care what happens because they will be gone soon.

  2. I like how the words are large and easy to read. I also like how it is well organized and you know exactly what the point of the blog is. The only suggestion I have would be below the picture one of the parentheses are bigger than the other. Other than that I really like it and I like the little tree at the end.

  3. What are the specific protections that were rolled back, and why were they rolled back? What were they reasons the Trump administration gave for rolling them back?

  4. I really liked how it was easy to read. The way you made the texts spread out and big was really nice. The information was also very well said.

  5. You make a lot of good points, but could be more effective if you talked about specifically WHAT has been rolled back. As part of the generation in between yours and Trump's, I feel bad that your generation will be forced to fix the mess they made....BUT, I'm also impressed by how much more attention your generation is giving the issue than my own did...

  6. Tyler,
Very interesting read. I like the photo you chose and I agree that we need to address these issues ASAP. It took a long time to create the problems and it will take a long time to reverse the damage.
